Villa Vipolže is a Renaissance-era country house in the village of Vipolže, in Goriška Brda, the hilly wine region on the Slovenian side of the border with Italy. The house stands among vineyards and orchards on a gentle hill, and its elegant proportions, loggia and thick walls reflect the tastes of the noble families who owned property in Brda when the region belonged to the County of Gorizia and later to the Habsburg lands. The villa is generally counted among the finest examples of such a country residence in Slovenia, and its position, close to the Italian border, suggests how much of the region's culture has been shared across it.

The building has had a long and eventful history. Like many manor houses in the border area, it was damaged during the wars of the twentieth century, suffered periods of neglect and later was carefully restored, which has returned the main rooms and the garden to a good condition. The restored interior retains vaulted ceilings, stone details and large reception rooms that suit the cultural events held here, including exhibitions, concerts and wine evenings. The museum of the nearby city of Nova Gorica has presented an exhibition on the villa's history, and visitors interested in architecture can find out how the building changed over the centuries.

Outside, the park and garden are the villa's other great attraction. Tall cypress trees, some of them very old, line the paths and frame the view toward the vineyards, giving the place an Italianate feel.
