Kostanjevica Cave (Kostanjeviška jama) is a fascinating natural attraction just outside the historic town of Kostanjevica na Krki, Slovenia. Discovered in 1937 after a surge of underground water fractured the rock and revealed its entrance, the cave has since become a favorite destination for nature lovers and curious travelers alike. The cave is open to visitors from April 15 to October 31, with guided tours available on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, and daily during July and August at 10:00, 12:00, 14:00, and 16:00. Tours last about 40 minutes and take you through a well-lit underground world of stalactites, stalagmites, and other remarkable formations. The constant temperature inside the cave makes it a comfortable outing even on the hottest summer days.
