Čatež

Čatež, officially Čatež ob Savi, is a lively village in the Posavje region of southeastern Slovenia, known for natural wellness, riverside scenery and a wide cultural offer. Its position at the meeting point of the Sava and Krka rivers has shaped its history and development and made it a crossroads for trade, settlement and recreation for centuries. The fertile plains and gentle hills around Čatež have long supported farming and wine growing, while the discovery of thermal springs added a new dimension to the area’s appeal.

The defining feature of Čatež is Terme Čatež, a large thermal spa complex that has grown into one of Slovenia’s leading wellness destinations. The Summer and Winter Rivieras, together known as the Thermal Riviera, with their slides, lazy rivers and themed pools, offers water fun through the year, and the Summer Amusement Park is among the largest water parks in the country.
