Terme Čatež stands on flat land beside the Sava River, near Brežice in the Posavje region of southeastern Slovenia, and the surrounding countryside is well suited to cycling. Typical outings from Čatež include a ride along the Sava, a loop through villages to Brežice and its castle, with the Posavje Museum and the Knights' Hall, or a longer excursion toward the wine hills of Bizeljsko and Sremič, where cellars and tourist farms offer tastings. Helmets are advisable for both bikes and scooters, and rental providers usually supply them, along with a lock and a map of suggested routes. Some also provide guided tours or GPS devices.

Before setting out, it is useful to check the battery range, which depends on the load, the terrain and the level of assistance, and to plan a route with a margin. Take water, sun protection and a rain layer, and keep in mind that some roads carry traffic.

Rentals suit families, couples and active guests who want to combine spa time with some exercise and sightseeing. Spring and autumn offer the most comfortable temperatures for riding, while summer mornings and evenings are pleasant. Booking in advance is wise at busy times.
