The glass factory in Rogaška Slatina, known as Rogaška Glassworks, is a must-visit destination for anyone interested in craftsmanship, design, and Slovenian heritage. With a tradition dating back to 1665, this renowned factory is celebrated for its exquisite hand-made crystal, blending centuries-old techniques with modern innovation. Each year, the glassworks produces millions of crystal pieces—ranging from elegant tableware to intricate engraved gifts—many of which have found their way into prestigious settings around the world.
Visitors can join a guided tour of the factory on weekdays between 8:00 AM and 1:00 PM (advance reservations required). The tour offers a fascinating behind-the-scenes look at the entire production process, from glass blowing and shaping to engraving and packaging. Highlights include the “Hall of Fame,” where you’ll see ceremonial gifts presented to world leaders and celebrities, and the Pegasus Rogaška store, the largest showroom of Rogaška products.
The experience is both educational and interactive, with opportunities to watch skilled artisans at work and learn about the history and global reach of Rogaška crystal. Admission is €10 for adults, €5 for children, and family tickets are available. Visitors also receive a credit toward purchases in the showroom on the day of their visit, making it easy to take home a sparkling souvenir.
