Dragon lines (radiosthetic phenomenon)

At Bukovniško jezero, in the far north-east of Slovenia, a trail invites visitors to look for dragon lines, a term used by radiesthetists, or dowsers, for supposed lines of energy that cross the landscape. The idea has parallels in many cultures: the Chinese art of feng shui speaks of dragon veins in the earth, European traditions of dowsing speak of earth rays and ley lines, and many people in Central Europe have long believed that certain places have a special, calming or invigorating character. In the area around the lake, local enthusiasts have marked points where, according to their measurements, such lines cross.

The best times to visit are in late spring and early autumn, when the weather is mild, and mornings are the quietest.
