Martuljek Waterfalls

The Martuljek Waterfalls, nestled in the breathtaking Martuljek Valley near Kranjska Gora, are among Slovenia’s most captivating natural wonders. Set within Triglav National Park, these twin waterfalls are framed by the dramatic peaks of the Martuljek mountain group, offering visitors a tranquil retreat amid lush alpine forests and rugged canyons.

The Lower Martuljek Waterfall is the most accessible, plunging over 50 meters into a narrow gorge and creating a powerful spectacle, especially in late spring when snowmelt swells the Martuljek Creek. A well-marked trail leads through the forest to designated viewing platforms, where you can admire the falls and the surrounding landscape. The Upper Martuljek Waterfall, cascading over 110 meters in three tiers, is more remote and best reached by experienced hikers equipped for steeper terrain.
