Gorišek Brothers’ hill, known locally as Letalnica bratov Gorišek, is the crown jewel of Planica and a legendary site in the world of ski flying. Opened in 1969 and designed by the visionary brothers Vlado and Janez Gorišek, this massive hill has become synonymous with record-breaking jumps and the thrill of flight. With a K-point of 200 meters and a hill size of 240 meters, it stands among the largest ski flying hills globally and regularly draws the world’s top athletes and thousands of spectators.

The hill’s storied history includes hosting multiple Ski Flying World Championships and witnessing 29 world records, including the first official jump over 200 meters by Toni Nieminen in 1994. Most recently, Domen Prevc set a new record with a 254.5-meter leap in 2025.
